Our Story

Matthew Johnson is the President of M3 Aerial Productions, a drone service provider and RPAS pilot training ground school in Canada.  He is the co-founder of #Drones4Crohns, along with Jon Kovacs, a commercial airplane and UAV pilot from Winnipeg.

Together, working with Crohn's and Colitis Canada, we have created this campaign to help raise awareness about these awful, debilitating diseases.  Both of our families have been affected by these diseases, and as such, we have made it our mission to use our passion for aviation and unmanned air vehicles, a.k.a. UAV / UAS / RPAS / "drones" to bring this campaign to the center stage.

In January 2017, Matthew and Jon got together to discuss opportunities to use drone photography as a way to help raise awareness, and ultimately raise donations towards research and treatment programs.  #Drones4Crohns was coined at that first meeting, and since then, we have been working towards a fundraising art expo, showcasing drone photographers, and scenic landscapes from across Canada.
